WHO stands for World Health Organization . It is an exclusive agency of UN ( United Nations ) that manages and looks after international public heath . WHO agency are doing their best to control Covid 19 Situation . Corona virus are spreading all over the world but finally vaccine has been made to stop the corona . It is seen that there is a shortage of vaccine in low income countries whereas rich countries people got their both doses and some countries have started to give out booster shots as well. Recently , WHO requested to stop giving Booster shots up to the end of September month . They are saying this so that large number of people from unprivileged or poor countries  can get their vaccine at-least. The main objective is First of all , Every people must be vaccinated .

In developed countries , people are getting their “ booster shots ” whereas many countries people are fighting to receive their first dose of corona virus vaccine . Until now , there is a small confirmation that booster shots are  required . But scientists are not fully sure about this . In many countries , people have got two doses of vaccines and now they are getting BOOSTER SHOTS as well and on the other hand, there are many countries available where  people are not getting their first dose of vaccine . Considering everything , WHO requested to stop giving BOOSTER SHOTS so that every person around the world can get the vaccines andthey can save themselves from this highly contagious disease ( CORONA VIRUS ) .

In this Article , I will describe about “ WHO said to stop giving out Booster Shots Until more of the world is vaccinated ” . Lets get started .

The present director general of WHO agency is Tedros Adhanom and he told that globally four billion vaccine doses have now been carried out but as a matter of fact , almost 80% of those vaccine have moved to  developed countries .

He also tells that developed and rich countries have carried out around 100 shots for 100 individuals whereas less developed countries have only administrated 1.5 per 100 human beings .

In a briefing , he ( the present director general of WHO Mr. Tedros Adhanom ) tells that “ I understand the concern of all governments to protect their people from the DELTA VARIANT  ” . But we can not accept countries that have already used most of the global supply of vaccines using even more of it , while the world’s most vulnerable people remains unprotected .

He said about temporarily prohibition on booster shots up to the end of September month would be able minimum 10% of each country’s residents to get vaccinated . In Africa , the detection rate and deaths and death rates are increasing because the delta variant gets uncontrolled . In the past four weeks , Death has arisen by 80% where lesser than 2 % of earth’s residents is completely vaccinated .

When some countries have begun to give out booster shots and some countries are thinking about to start giving booster , then WHO’s interference comes . Israel has started to give out the third shots last month . They are giving booster shots to the older person who are above 60 years . On the other hand , some other countries like : UAE ( United Arab Emirates ) , France , Germany and many other developed countries have declared that they will soon start their booster doses . Some other countries such as : UK , US are thinking about it . US has purchased Pfizer’s extra doses but they have not taken any decision about when they will implement it . 

The science is still unsure about the booster shots . Is the booster shots are really that much necessary or not , the science is still a bit unsure about it .

Last month Pfizer published data , indicating that third shots provide powerful protection and creates a strong safeguard against Delta Variant . But present Vaccines are seen to provide good protection against all sorts of variants .

WHO aims to concentrate again on acquiring a huge percentage of the world vaccinated before giving a booster shot to the developed countries . WHO has a goal and their goal is 40% of the whole world should get vaccinated by the end of this year and in the year of 2022 , 70%  of the whole world’s people should be vaccinated. 29% of the entire population gets their first dose of vaccine . But in less developed countries the percentage rate is really low approximately 1 % . 

According to the report of WHO agency , eleven countries are giving out the booster shots or some of them are thinking about to give booster shots to everybody who are 50 years old or more than it . They would use approximately 440 million doses of overall supply .

Considering everything , the present director general of WHO Mr. Tedros Adhanom told that “ We need an urgent reversal from the majority of vaccines going to high income countries to the majority going to low income countries ” . He requested and motivated the vaccines manufacturers to concentrate on giving covid vaccine to the low income countries so that less developed country’s people can get vaccine and they can save their life and by doing so the death rate and infection rate will be lessen. In the last week he told that , the program requires a huge vaccine dose of funds to completes it final goal.

Jen Psaki who is white house’s press secretory told that US will have adequate vaccines to give a donation of low income countries as well as they can also start to give out booster shots if it is necessary.

Booster shots might be required if the vaccines are generated from inoperative particles . For example : the Chinese vaccines  Sinovac and Sinopharm . Both vaccines produce insufficient safeguard against the dangerous disease corona virus especially the Delta Variant . Although , in Indonesia there are so many health maintenance employees who are completely vaccinated with the Sinovac vaccine.

But rest of the vaccines are giving at-least 90 % protection against the corona virus . The death rate are also decreasing by the help of vaccines . So , vaccination is must in order to stay alive. Few studies discovered that the vaccine holds the anti body for few months and after some months the effect of vaccine are getting lower .

Researchers still do not know how well booster shots will work against the corona virus. How long the booster shots will remain in people’s body , researchers are not sure about it . Those who are already vaccinated have a much lower risk of death than those who have not yet been vaccinated or they are not getting the vaccine due to the shortage of vaccines. Those who have been vaccinated are less likely to be infected rather than those who have not been vaccinated.

Richer countries need to be more helpful . Rather than giving booster shots who have already got two doses of vaccines , they should donate the booster shots to the poorer countries so that many people can get their vaccine.

Still , the distribution of global vaccine is inadequate. But it will become more and more adequate only if the booster shots becomes ordinary and available. Donating the vaccines will not be enough. Those who have made the profit like BioNTech in Germany , Moderna in US , they must utilize their power to extend manufacturing or producing procedure . Normally , to set everything accordingly takes some time but we are in a pandemic situation so everything must be done very quickly. We can stop this corona virus only if the entire world co-operates and works together.

In low income countries , majority of the people are not vaccinated yet and which can create huge deaths and infection rate high . Economies are destroying , business are destroying , educational institutions are closed . People are dying in every minute . So rich countries can help to the the poorer countries by distributing the booster shots .

If vaccines had been enough , then there would not have been so much controversy about booster shots . If richer countries concentrates on giving booster shots to their people then almost half of the world will face shortage of vaccines . Thus , the global pandemic will staying for longer time . The more it will stay , the more it will spread . So it would be better if rich countries donate their booster shots and prevent the disease as much as possible .
